Middlebury, Vermont: Frank's graduation!

'The Green Mountain Boys'

Love the pun (also, my little brother!).

If you ever find yourself in Burlington, Vermont, this little wine bar was wonderful!

Please bear in mind that this was taken the day I arrived from London :)

Joey, on the patio of the little cottage where my family and I stayed.

Snake Mountain. Just missing Ralph!

Frank and some of his good friends from Midd.

Dad and I!

Country roads, take me home.

Was trying to get a picture of the sun graffiti art under the bridge.

Bristol, VT.

Books :D

One of those iconic covered bridges.

Highly recommended!

At Frank's Phi Beta Kappa ceremony.

Mike and Frank.

Testing out the library armchairs.

The Middlebury Chapel, Middlebury College

But wait, there's more!

Ready for Frank to graduate!

We're still here!

And a little tired.

Looking good!

Joey was especially stoked to get to hear Hilary Hahn play violin!

So very proud of this guy.

Peter and Frank, about to get on the road.

'Merica.

Last night in Vermont!

Lots of fields like this in Vermont.

You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be led. -- Stan Laurel

I've been reading a bit of Walt Whitman lately, and a passage from him seems appropriate after pictures of New England.

Whoever you are, I fear you are walking the walks of dreams,
I fear these supposed realities are to melt from under your feet and hands,
Even now your features, joys, speech, house, trade, manners, troubles, follies, costume, crimes, dissipate away from you,
Your true soul and body appear before me,
They stand forth out of affairs, out of commerce, shops, work, farms, clothes, the house, buying, selling, eating, drinking, suffering, dying.
 . . .
O I have been dilatory and dumb,
I should have made my way straight to you long ago...

[From: To You, in Leaves of Grass, by Walt Whitman]
