Sometimes we say goodbye with waffles.

A warm summer evening--just the right weather for waffles! (Of course, what's the wrong weather for waffles?)
A lot of us are going away/back to college this fall (grad school in my case), so we had a farewell party at my cousins' house. True to form, we made it a waffle party. They have the perfect setting for a picnic, and around 7 in the evening the weather is balmy and the light is golden.

These flowers came from my Aunt Pam's garden--note the surfboard in the background (Jacob's).

Accidentally turned out to be a (sorta) cool shot.

We take our waffles kind of seriously.

And then there were the spearfishermen.

Filleting perch is no easy task, apparently.

Yum.

A waffle is nothing without the toppings.

Music.

Where the magic happens.

Talking about engineering?

And more filleting . . .

Caption?

This is a GREAT picture of all of us.

Ready for the camera this time.

That's better.

Peter and Mary and Frank look nice--just don't look too far to the left.

Summer nights.

Gonna miss these people.
